After earning a Master’s degree in Architecture: Restoration & Renovation at the TU Delft University I set up my first “business”: a family with four lovely and energetic children.
Organized storage space and clever design solutions where the base for a functionality we needed on a daily base. I found a solution in custom design: designed to fit perfectly into the spaces of our home, balanced functionality and personal taste and, most important, perfectly tailored around our lifestyle.
This approach I apply to all my designs. From bathroom and kitchens, to children’s rooms or complete attic renovations, I strongly believe that through custom design I can create you a balanced, personal and welcoming home.
Being an expat myself, Ben@home stands for my values in the languages that are important to me.
As a designer I’m inspired by modern interiors and have a preference for natural materials. Natural paints, organic materials and repurposing existing furniture in combination with new timeless custom design is what inspires me to be a sustainable designer. Finding a balance between what could oppose is what I love to challenge myself in a project.
As a mother and coach@home I understand the importance of interior design with a sense of organization. By finding a place for everything and everyone, our home becomes more streamlined and comfortable. A place of wellbeing. I’m convinced our home is a mirror reflection of ourselves and at the same time I believe in the power of interior design as daily inspiration at home.
As an interior designer I help expat families with home improvements, including renovations and tailored design solutions.
As a coach at home, I help expat mothers of young families who feel overwhelmed by the challenges of both home life and the expat lifestyle.
Best of both worlds is the Happy Home package where it comes all together!
