This family just loves to read! Instead of spreading all their books trough out their house, the vision was a central reading area in their living room, with place for all their beloved books. 

A clean and modern look. Enough storage space for their books and other items that did not require to be visible. Contrast with the old oak floor in herringbone pattern. Cohesion with the dark brown wooden mantelpiece beam of the chimney in the center of the living room. These where the requirements. 

By designing this large bookcase all needed storage space was provided. And by the dimensions of it, the room actually seemed more spacious than before!
