“We would like to create a kitchen with a homey atmosphere”.

These house owners had been living in their house in the Netherlands for a while now, but where still missing that “homey feel”. They wished to renovate their kitchen, dining area and living space in the style that reminded them of their homeland.

Inverting the original floorplan was the concept for this project. By moving the new kitchen towards the window we could create an U-shaped kitchen with sufficient countertop space. Great for real food lovers like this family! In addition moving the kitchen meant also taking advantage of all the natural light coming into this space. 

A preference for a more traditional look in combination with easy to clean materials. Kitchen cabinets in warm white combined with warm oak and sage green tiles create a welcoming and natural atmosphere. 

The result? In this kitchen with a homey atmosphere this family feels at home now while living abroad!
